Physical description | Textile fragment of chintz furnishing fabric of painted and dyed cotton, and with a design recalling French 'bizarre' silks. Black and blue gimp braid sewn onto one edge, a later European addition. Pattern of flowers and leaves on slender curving stems. Spots, ferns and other enrichments cover much of the surface. |
