Portrait of a woman, framed in a case with a portrait of a young girl (RPS.2233:1-2017). Typical of the time, both the woman and the young girl are posed in front of painted studio backdrop of woodland scenes. Having an ambrotype hand-coloured cost extra, here only a little red colouring has been added to the sitters' checks.
