THE EVERGREEN 'Spring' 1895 The four volumes of The Evergreen were the Scottish equivalent of the radical publication The Yellow Book in England. They emphasised the cultural rebirth and Celtic Revival taking place in Edinburgh, but also addressed themes of decadence and nature through poetry and engravings. Published in Edinburgh by Sir Patrick Geddes (born in Ballater, Aberdeenshire, 1854, died in Montpellier, France, 1932) and William Sharp (born in Paisley, Stratchclyde, 1855, died in Sicily, 1905) National Art Library no. 38041800491474 (16/03/2018)
