Containing numerous drawings and designs on tracing paper, relating to Moody's designs for the sgraffito panels on the exterior walls of the museum, some inscribed "Mr. Moody's design ...", and sketches after Old Masters and ancient artifacts, studies of architectural ornament, &c. Most done in pen and ink, or pencil, some heightened with watercolour.

A STUDENT'S SKETCHBOOK 1870-1874 W.S.Singer was a student at the South Kensington School of Design who later became a designer of church furnishings. This page of his sketchbook shows tracings of drawings in this Museum, which was founded in association with the Government School of Design.
