Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Delpozo is a Spanish fashion label, founded in 1974 by Jesús del Pozo in Madrid. He admired the work of Balenciaga above all others and was awarded the Cristóbal Balenciaga award for Best Spanish Designer in 1989. On del Pozo’s death in 2011, the brand changed its name to Delpozo, and Josep Font was appointed as creative director. Josep Font comes from an architectural background, and his work demonstrates his interest in shape and volume. Delpozo produces ‘demi couture’, or, ‘prêt-à-couture’, described as having the craftsmanship associated with couture, although the pieces are not made bespoke.

This ensemble is from Delpozo’s Autumn/Winter collection 2015 and the coat was referenced by Vogue as ‘one of his biggest coups’.
