The BRIT Awards are given annually by the British Phonographic Industry and are the annual showcase for the UK music industry. They were established in 1977 and are the music equivalent of the Oscars. The statuette has been regularly redesigned by British designers, including Vivienne Westwood, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and Sir Peter Blake.

This statuette is the award given in 2017 and was designed by the architect, Dame Zaha Hadid (1950-2016).
