This false moustache was worn on stage by Sir Felix Aylmer in an unidentified production. Most hairpieces for the stage are made from human or animal hair, knotted into a net or gauze base. These materials are flexible and light to wear under hot stage lights. This handlebar moustache is made from reddish-brown human hair and mounted on wire. The wire can be bent to attach the moustache to the nose at the nostrils.
