Daguerreotype made directly from a painting called 'Queen Victoria Receiving the Sacrament at her Coronation, 28 June 1838' by Charles Robert Leslie in 1841, which was painted for Queen Victoria and is now in the Royal Collection (RCIN 406993). The daguerreotype is glazed in a passe-partout frame. The tape edging is coloured gold with black lines used as a decorative frame.
