Hand-tinted daguerreotype of a three-quarter length portrait of a seated young man wearing a three-piece suit and cravat with a high collar, and holding a document/book in his right hand. This daguerreotype is in a gold-coloured mount with a rectangular arched window. This is glazed and in a leather-coated wooden case lined with velvet. There are two metal hook fastenings on the right edge.
This is kept in an original 'RPS Museum' envelope.
