The building with the steeply-pitched roof at the centre of this photograph, the Golden Star (Haus Zum Stern), was built in 1584 and pulled down in 1894. The smaller building to its left, the Golden Rose (Haus Zum Rose), was erected in 1604 and still stands today. Both buildings were part of the Kolmarkt in Brunswick (Braunschweig), Germany.
