Attribution note: The plaster figure was the base form or mandrel which was electroformed in an electrodeposition bath. Firstly, it had to be rendered electroconductive through the application of a paint that contains metal particles. Once a thick enough skin of metal was built up on the mandrel then it was removed. The mandrel, now forming the inner core was removed leaving an electroformed figure.

The background of the albumen print has partly been painted in to give a darked background to the figure.
