Two Victorian Men

Photograph
c. 1865 (photographed)

Coloured daguerreotype of two men on either side of a small table, one standing and one seated. The seated man has a pipe in his mouth and is looking up at the standing man, who is holding a silver tankard. The plate is in a metal mount with an oval window and a moulded decorative frame. The daguerreotype is in a leather-covered wooden case. There is a small hole in the top edge of the case, suggesting it once had a hook to hang on the wall.
