Purple toque of crêpe in an arrangement of deep tucks to suggest a turban. It is mounted over a straw base with a wired frame, and trimmed at the back with a mount of clipped purple ostrich feathers.

Lined throughout with cream satin with a band of cream velvet round the bottom which a thin ribbon is passed to gather in the circumference of the hat.
