English translation from a French translation of the original Dutch work 'Reizen over Moskovie, door Persie en Indie' published in Amsterdam in 1711. Published in French with title 'Voyage de Corneille Le Brun par la Moscovie, en Perse, et aux Indes Orientales' in Amsterdam in 1718.
Running title: The travels of Cornelius le Bruyn.
Text is continuous despite pagination and signatures.
Text in double columns, with printed marginalia.
With bibliographical references and index.
Signatures: Vol.1: [pi]1 A-3Rp2 s3Sp2s(-3S1); v.2: [A]1 B-3Mp2 s3O-3Pp2s.
Errors in pagination: vol. 1: p. 138, 139, 236 and 237-240 misnumbered 139, 138, 362 and 263-266 respectively; vol. 2: p. 165 and 168 misnumbered 167 and 166 resepctively.
Plates are engravings and etchings, with further engraved and etched illustrations in the text.
