Dress, part of a costume from an unidentified production, associated with Bronislava Nijinska, ca.1920s
Physical description
Vivid yellow dress with artificial silk bodice and yellow tarlatan sleeves and skirt. There is a wide curved collar of cream machine lace, which rests on the shoulder line and a small black velvet bow at the centre front of the neckline. The long sleeves are gathered into three sections with bands of elastic (now perished) and the bodice is secured with a zip fastening, set into the proper left side seam. The dress is not lined.
