Brief description
Cape, part of a costume from Holy Etudes,1925.
Physical description
Red-orange silk crepe cape. The cape is shaped like a shield or insect wing, it is shaped with soft pleating and has a length of bamboo cane running across the top edge. Long, pale gold, fabric ties (previously shaped with elastic, now perished) have been stitched to the centre back interior of the neckline.

  • Cord, from stitched edge to base (though the cord is gathered at the base and the elastic has perished) length: 71cm (approximate)
