Physical description | Red-orange silk crepe cape. The cape is shaped like a shield or insect wing, it is shaped with soft pleating and has a length of bamboo cane running across the top edge. Long, pale gold, fabric ties (previously shaped with elastic, now perished) have been stitched to the centre back interior of the neckline. Stitches have been added to the base of the cape, possibly for past display purposes. |
