Poster advertising The Beatles album <i>Revolver</i> released 5<sup>th</sup> August 1966. The poster resembles the album artwork depicting the band members.

The Beatles were an English rock and pop band who are widely celebrated as the most influential band of the rock era. The band are made up of Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Each member contributed to songwriting in the band, however McCartney and Lennon formed a successful songwriting partnership, producing some of The Beatles' biggest hits. The band would remain active from 1960-1970, remaining the most successful band of all time with an estimated 300 million record sales worldwide.

Revolver was The Beatles' seventh studio album. The record sold 1,187,869 copies in the year of its release in the US and would spend 34 weeks at the top of the UK Albums Chart. Notable tracks include 'Eleanor Rigby', 'Tomorrow Never Knows' and 'Yellow Submarine'. The album was well reviewed and marked a progression towards experimentation and innovation in The Beatles' studio work.

The poster is similar to the design of the album cover, showing prints, photographs and drawings of the band. The large drawings depict the head of each band member, with Paul McCartney in profile at the top left, John Lennon facing forwards at the top right, George Harrison facing forwards at the bottom right and Ringo Starr facing upwards at the bottom left.

At the top of the poster is a header which reads 'THE BEATLES' and at the bottom is a footer which reads 'REVOLVER OUT NOW'.
