ff. 1r-12v: Calendar, in German, less than half full, made for use in the diocese of Trier.
ff. 18r-67r: Hours of the Virgin, said to be Use of Basel.
ff. 69r-72v: Sequence of prayers, for the Sacrament and the Virgin Mary.
ff. 74r-79v: Hours of the Holy Spirit, Matins only.
ff. 80r-v: Prayer to the Trinity.
ff. 81r-98v: Seven Penitential Psalms.
ff. 99v-104r: Rosary prayers followed by five decades of the Rosary.
ff. 105r-105v: Suffrage to the Virgin.
ff. 106v-119r: Hours of the Holy Ghost, Prime to Compline.
ff. 121r-164v: Office of the Dead.
ff. 178r-210r: Fifteen prayers to Christ.
ff. 210v-215r: Series of prayers to the Virgin added in a ca. 1500 hand.

Decoration: 13 large miniatures in gold arched frames, and 3 smaller miniatures, with borders filled with gold acanthus, flowers, animals and insects (ff. 17v, 40v, 44v, 47v, 50v, 53v, 54r, 61v, 68v, 71r, 73v, 79v, 80v, 99r, 106r, 120v); series of half page borders; 20 illuminated initials, and others in blue or red ink, some with grotesque faces.

Binding: 16th century. Calf over wooden boards, metal corner pieces and metal clasps. Tooling in blind and in gold, on front cover a medallion containing Agnus Dei, within diamond-shaped panel; back cover medallion containing arabesque interlacing; clasps, small metal corner pieces, gilt and gauffered edges. Sewn onto four double hemp cords.

Object history
(1) Inscription on f.vi recto that posits it was owned by Rebecca Sigerstein, prioress of Unterlinden (d. 1610) and given to her by her brother Matthias Eberhardt.
(2) Late 18th-century inscription inside the front cover by an unidentified Foucault (France, 1782) gifting the manuscript to the sister of a king.
(3) Inscription of the early 19th century on f. xi rectio indicating the MS was in the Paris book trade and that it belgonded to Matthias Berhardt and Rebecca Sygerstain from Colmar.
(4) Inscribed 'J. Dawson 1832' on f.i recto.
(5) Presented to Victoria and Albert Museum by Beatrice Twamley of Bedford, 1949.
