Ricardo Legoretta was globally renowned for his use of traditional Central American architectural techniques rather than the international style of architecture which was prevalent in Mexico during the post-war years. Distinguishing features include the use of thick-wall systems, colour to enclose space and concern for privacy. All of these qualities are typical of his style and are present in the this private residence.
