Gary Page designed this textile for Red or Dead's Autumn/Winter collection 1991. It features images of 1950s pop icon Elvis Priesley amongst classic tailoring fabrics such as Houndstooth, Glencheck, Herringbone and Prince of Wales. The monochrome quality of the prints brings out the geometric characteristics of these woven fabrics, drawing similarities with and complementing the one optical pattern square seen amongst the fabric prints.
Page drew inspiration from popular culture of the 1950s and 1960s, including the Op and Pop Art movements, Andy Warhol and American mass culture.
