The performance in Paris would run for over 200 performances, and Bernhardt would take the performance to the Lyceum in 1888. Her Lyceum season formed part of her world tour, visiting South America, Europe, North America and Australia.

Bernhardt is wearing a hooded blue coat with fur lining. She is standing in profile, with her head turned looking forwards, her left hand is holding her hood and her left hand holding the train of her dress.

At the top-right is a print of Mario, played by Dumény, he is wearing a blue coat with tails, cream trousers, knee length black boots, a ruffed white shirt and holding a black hat in his right hand. He is standing in profile with his left hand in his pocket.
