Paper peepshow of Nürnberg and Furth railway on the day of its opening. It depicts the cities of Nuremberg and Furth through which a yellow coloured train advances diagonally along a treeline track. The tracks is flanked by pedestrians, horses and carriages. This is an accordion-folding peepshow with five cut-out panels. The panels are hand-coloured etchings and are housed within in a cartonnage box.

Front panel: The front panel forms the peepshow's lid. There are three peepholes in it. It depicts Nuremberg and Furth though which a yellow-coloured train advances diagonally along a treeline track. The tracks are flanked by pedestrians, horses and carriages.The train is shown in profile along the top of the box.
Panel 1: railway tracks, spectators, a yellow-coloured, horse-drawn carriage.
Panel 2: railway tracks, spectators, a house.
Panel 3: railway tracks, the last train carriage with passengers.
Panel 4: railway tracks, the train's central carriage with passengers.
Panel 5: railway tracks, the train's engine, passengers and spectators.
Back panel: railway tracks leading to a vanishing point. Spectators and trees line the tracks.
