Physical description

Swatch of knitted fabric attached to white card at one edge. Knitted to resemble crazy patchwork in a wide range of patterns from stripes to plaids, some florals, some touches of red and purple chenille.

Object history note

An original design croquis (sketch) by Suzan Rooke for Kenzo shows a similar fabric used for a short-waisted, elongated-sleeved sweater. The swatch attached to the croquis is very similar to this textile. The sketch is now in the Prints, Drawings and Paintings department.
