Fred Pearl was born in East London in the Borough of Bromley-le-Bow. He became a master model maker, initially beginning his career working on simple workshop projects. He later attended art college where he furthered his model making skills. His career spanned much of the mid 20th century where he worked for Lines Brothers company (Pedigree)He then went on to make models for such movies as Lawrence of Arabia, Mutiny on the Bounty, Muppet Treasure Island and Star Wars. He went on to start his own company entitled Art Models Ltd. where he created models for film/television, architecture, exhibitions/displays, and museums.
