Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Round-topped bagatelle game, made from transparent polystyrene, with a printed card back. The polystyrene part has integral scoring targets and obstacles moulded onto its reverse side, as well as numbers to illustrate the score gained by resting one of the six stainless steel balls in one of the goals. The balls are fired using a spring-loaded yellow polystyrene device on the object's right side. Two yellow polystyrene flippers are located at the bottom, controlled by knobs which protrude through upper casing of the object. The object's colour-printed card back depicts the actor Tom Baker in costume as The Doctor, wearing a long scarf and a wide-brimmed hat. Behind him are three of his foes.

Object history
Part of the Edward Castle collection.
Production
Tom Baker played The Doctor between 1974 and 1981, so this toy must have been made in those years. 'The Doctor Who Aim 'N' Shoot Bagatelle Game', produced by Jotastar in 1978, featured a very similar illustration of Tom Baker on it.
