Bad'Gammon

Board Game
2015 (manufactured)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This backgammon set is designed especially for children. It is made by the French company Les Jouets Libres using sustainable materials. It is designed to be portable - the playing board is the bag which carries the playing pieces and dice - and to appeal to children's imagination and creativity. The design motif uses the fable of the hare and the tortoise, 'slow and steady wins the race'. However it is marketed as a 'bad' game where hitting is allowed. This hitting is not of course physical towards humans but towards the playing pieces of one's opponent.
