Object history | Reproduced in colour facing page 134 of H.M. Cundall's History of Water Colour Painting, 1908 There is a very similar engraving called 'Mother Rumour', after Pinwell, in Wayside Posies, 1867, p.84; Picture Posies 1874, p.143; and English Rustic Pictures, 1882. The Word and Images Department at the V&A holds two proofs of it. |
