A tie-dyed woollen veil-cloth of dark brown wool tie-dyed with yellow and white spots. Embroidered end of cotton thread and mirrors; embroidered medallions in the field with raised mirrors in the centre.

Rabari woman's shawl (lodki), Kutch, 1960-1970

Production Note

Used by Vagadia Rabari women in the village of Nani Rav in Rapar taluka, Kutch, Gujarat. Woven by Vankars (weavers) at Adhoi and tie-dyed by the Khatris at Adesar.
