Object history
At the time of this phone's introduction in 2002 it was seen as a status symbol. The original phones cost over £400.00, based more on their exclusivity and good looks than on their ability to provide the latest technology. Reviews at the time commented that these phones provided only essential phone features; but their visual impact was considerable.
