(The characters D.H.C.C. likely stand for ‘Dae Han Coal Corporation’, a company established in 1950 with nine coal mines, and still extant today under the name of ‘Korea Coal Corporation’ Daehan seoktangongsa (대한석탄공사).
Limb Song Bon (1905-1983) was born in Pyongyang, North Korea, but was educated in Japan during the colonial period, reading Law at Kyushu University. He worked for the D.H.C.C. from 1954 to 1957, before being appointed Korean Consul General in Sydney in 1957.) |
