With added half-title (printed for presentation copies in red and black, with relief etching at foot): Presented by Her Majesty's Commissioners for the Exhibition of M.D.CCC.L.I. ...Some page numbers repeated; added t.p. and folded col. map at front included in plate count.

Bound in red morocco with design incorporating initials VA stamped in gold on upper and lower board; another design stamped in gold on spine; cover and spine titles in gold lettering; also blocked in blind on both boards and spine; royal blue moire doublures with a third design stamped in gold on inner boards; turn-ins decorated in gold; red morocco hinges; gilt edges.
Also published in 27 cm. casings, with a 4th (supplementary) volume.
