This was a conspicuous ingredient of German ornament from the 1870s. The binding was bought as an example of modern German work; its contents are blank. Germany, Hamburg; bound by Georg Hulbe Calfskin, with incised ornament and silver corner pieces With the arms of Dürer Museum no. Inv.581-1886
