Brief description
Design for The Pie in Mother Goose, Hackney Empire, 2014
Physical description
Costume design by Lotte Collett for Clive Rowe's Pie costume as Mother Goose in the pantomime Mother Goose at the Hackney Empire, 2014. The design shows a large pie costume, covering a figure with red shoes sticking out of the bottom of the pie. The costume is topped with a headdress of pastry leaves, with blackbirds escaping from the opening. Diagrams and annotations show poles to carry the large pie onto the stage, and a small sketch in the upper right-hand corner demonstrates how the costume opens up to reveal the performer underneath. The design is marked with Lotte Collett's stamp.
