Black high-waisted cotton trousers. Waistband extends well past the waist, and is lined with striped cotton, stitched down into channels into which copper-gilt coloured metal boning is inserted. Elastic gussets on the sides of the waist. Corset-lacing down the back of the trousers combined with buttons. Metal fly zipper, and front of corset waist buttons.

High-waisted cotton trousers, designed by Yukio Kobayashi for Matsuda, Tokyo, probably retailed at Kramberg, Berlin, ca. 1985
Physical description
Black high-waisted cotton trousers. Waistband extends well past the waist, and is lined with striped cotton, stitched down into channels into which copper-gilt coloured metal boning is inserted. Elastic gussets on the sides of the waist. Corset-lacing down the back of the trousers combined with buttons. Metal fly zipper, and front of corset waist buttons.
