Physical description

Photographic portrait of the singer and actress Gaby Deslys (1881-1920). It features a full length, three quarter profile, portrait of Deslys whose gaze is directed over her right shoulder towards a point in the distance. She is standing with both hands on her hips and is wearing a sleeveless dress with narrow straps, and a slight train, the front of which is decorated with beading. She is also wearing a headdress formed from discs of stiffened fabric and decorated with feathers.
