Physical description
Photographic portrait of the singer and actress Gaby Deslys (1881-1920). It features a half length portrait of Deslys whose gaze is directed towards the viewer. She is seated, with her chin resting on her left hand and is wearing a heavy silk and silk velvet cape with an ostrich feather collar over a bead trimmed dress. She also has a headdress on a round frame surmounted by a stiffened rectangular panel which is bordered by ostrich feathers and decorated with lines of beading.
