Man's jacket, trousers and shirt tailored from white, sheer Swiss-dot organdie and trimmed with white grosgrain, the jacket with a detachable ruffled muslin bustle. Worn over white cotton boxer shorts, with charcoal cotton sateen necktie and charcoal grey elastic sleeve garters.
The jacket single-breasted, with three buttons centre front and four button cuffs, breast pocket, two front pockets. A detachable bustle of sixteen layers of cream muslin applied with meandering ruffles is buttoned under the back flap. The tuxedo shirt is made from the same fabric as the jacket, with elongated stiffened French cuffs and stiffened collar. The trousers have cuffed hems and front button fly, two back pockets and a cinch in the back.
