This electrotype copy of the Dolgelly paten has a sexfouil depression engraved with emblems of the Evangelists and foliage in the spandrils, and in the centre, Christ in majesty with an inscription.

Object history note

This electrotype copy was commissioned, along with a copy of the Dolgelly chalice, by the Victoria and Albert Museum for the Museum's collection of electrotype copies from Elkington & Co. in 1911. The cost for a copy of the chalice and paten was £7 10s.
