Physical description
Costume design by Wilhelm (1858-1925) for 'Prince Florian' in the original production of Princess Ida, at the Savoy Theatre, 1884. The design is executed in watercolour on card. It features a full length image of a young man dressed in a long sleeved purple, turquoise and gold doublet with striped purple and turquoise hose. He is also wearing a purple hat decorated with a white feather. He is holding his arms out by his sides and his gaze is directed over his left shoulder.
