Dress or kaftan made of a large rectangle of silk fabric sewn at two sides to a large square of fabric of the same width. Rectangle of fabric sewn up along the top seam, leaving a slit open for the wrist. Square of fabric left open along the top seam. Bottom seam left open. Rectangle printed with white, purple, pink and blue 'pastel' effect stripes. Square printed with assorted creatures and motifs: fish, griffon, wild boar, seashell, turtle, Hindu deities (including Shiva and Ganesh), Buddha, and the nine-headed cobra.
