Object history | This is believed to be a cartoon for a stained glass window, for the church of St Barnabas, Gorsefield, Swindon, Wiltshire. As of 2016 this window is still in extant. It is believed that Seddon had the idea for the design, Kennedy drew and probably made up the window using the facilities of S. Belham and Co, Ltd of 155 Buckingham Palace Road, London. Here it was exhibited before being installed in 1885. From information supplied by Diana Kennedy |
