Cabinet card portrait of Miss Winifed Emery as Reneé de Cocheforêt and Herbert Waring as Gil de Berault in a production of Under the Red Robe, at the Haymarket Theatre, October, 1896. The photograph features a scene in which the two figures are positioned beside a sundial which is covered with ivy. Emery, is positioned at the left hand side of the image, she is seated, her gaze directed towards a point in the distance. Waring is standing to Emery's right, and is leaning on the sundial, his gaze directed downwards towards her.
