Artwork used in the credits for the television play The Glove, crediting Marie Lohr as Miss MacKenzie and given to her by the play's director Herbert Wise. Broadcast by ATV on 17 September 1961 in the Drama '61 series.
The Glove, written by John Gray and starring Marie Lohr and Donald Sinden, was broadcast in a series of individual plays which had the general title Drama '61. The 1961 series was the first in what became a short annual series, each called Drama followed by the appropriate year. The final series was shown in 1967.
Marie Lohr (1890-1975) was born in Australia and came to Britain as a child, making her London stage debut at the age of eleven. She had a long career as a stage and screen actress, being particularly successful as formidable aristocratic ladies.
