Photographic portrait of a scene featuring Leon Quartermaine as Valentine Brown and Fay Compton as Phoebe Throssel in Quality Street, at the Haymarket Theatre, 11th August 1921. The photograph features a full length portrait of two figures, one male and one female. Fay Compton (Phoebe) is positioned at the left side of the scene she is shown in three quarter profile and is holding up a fan in her right hand. Her gaze is directed towards toward Quartermaine who is positioned at the right side of the scene. He is returning her gaze and has turned slightly towards her. His left hand is upraised with his index finger pointing upwards.
