The photograph features a three quarter length portrait of Shine and Baddeley. Shine is positioned on the left, and Baddeley is leaning towards him, her head resting on Shine's left shoulder. Shine is gazing down at Baddeley, his right hand resting lightly on her shoulder. Baddeley's gaze is directed upwards, towards a point in the distance.
