The photograph features a scene with three figures, two female, one male. Miriam Lewis, Mrs. Crummles, is shown seated in the foreground, her hands are clasped in her lap and her gaze is directed towards Baddeley (Ninetta) and Crummles (Shine) who are standing beside her. Baddeley is standing with her hands behind her back, her feet crossed in fifth position. Shine his standing to Baddeley's left, his right hand is upraised and is resting on Baddeley's head.
