Line block print. On the left 'The Woman in the Moon' shows a naked figure and a robed figure standing to the right of the composition looking over towards a face set within the moon. On the right the title page contains the inscription (translated from the German) 'Salome. Tragedy in one act by Oscar Wilde/transmitted into German by Hedwig Lachmann with fifteen drawings by Audrey Beardsley.' Below this reads 'Leipzig im inselverlag 1907.' To the side of this writing is a female figure with her back to the viewer, with hair made from the surrounding tree foliage. Below the writing is a winged figure with a mask over its eyes.
