Hand coloured print of a photograph showing the actress Helen Bancroft. The print, which is a hand coloured version of an original photograph taken at Sarony's studio, features a three quarter length portrait of Bancroft whose gaze is directed away from the viewer. She is wearing a white, sleeveless dress and is sitting with an open book between her hands. She is also wearing a straw boater, trimmed with a lightweight white veil, together with translucent white mittens.
