This print of the actor and singer Percy Clifton as Hi Lung (Lord High Admiral) in A Chinese Honeymoon by George Dance (1857-1932) with music by Howard Talbot was issued as one of eight prints of photographs by Langfier Ltd., printed on fine art paper in a colour souvenir folder designed by Ernest Dyer and printed by Messrs T. W. Haycock & Sons to mark the 1,000th performance of the musical comedy A Chinese Honeymoon at the Royal Strand Theatre, 18 March 1904 The other prints in the souvenir were of Lily Elsie as Princess Soo Soo, Arthur Williams as Mr. Pineapple, Picton Roxborough as the Emperor, Marie Dainton as Mrs. Pineapple, Farren Soutar as Tom Hatherton, Percy Clifton as Hi-Lung, Hilda Trevelyan as Fi Fi, the author George Dance, and the theatre owner Frank Curzon.
